Merry Christmas from Post & Packing!

The run up to Christmas has definitely hit Post & Packing on Liberty Square in Kings Hill.  The shop has been bustling with customers coming in to send their Christmas cards and parcels in time for Christmas over the last fortnight.  Even though the shop is at its busiest and the staff are working non-stop to ensure everything in the post arrives on time, we particularly look forward to this time of year, as it’s lovely to catch up with our customers and the local residents of Kings Hill and take in the overall Christmas cheer that comes with it.

Although Christmas is a truly magical time, it can often leave many of us feeling stressed with the many chores that need to be done, presents to buy, trips to plan, party’s to attend, let alone trying to juggle the balance between work and family.  If I can give you one piece of advice, which always works for me, write a list!

By writing a list of all the things you have to do for the run up to Christmas, you can prioritise them by importance and schedule when you will have time to complete them.  You will be able to see how much you can physically achieve on your own, what you can delete from the list and what you can delegate to others.  The list will also enable you to empty your mind of the many voices going round your head telling you things like: ‘not to forget to meet Paula for drinks on Wednesday evening’, ‘must book the cats into the cattery ’, ‘send clients Christmas cards’, ‘organise staff cover over the holidays’, and so on.  Voices like this will never give you any rest so get them down on paper, enabling you to relax your mind and get those much needed 8 hours of sleep when you go to bed.

Whether you are having a couple of days, a week or more off during the Christmas period, whatever you are doing plan ahead, write a list and gain back some kind of order to the madness.  This will enable you to slow down, take time out and enjoy the festivities with your family and friends.

The staff at Post and Packing will be doing just that and taking their well-earned break over the Christmas holidays from Monday 24th December 2012 until Wednesday 2nd January 2013 when the shop re-opens for business as usual. Until then all the staff at Post and Packing would like to wish you a stress free Merry Christmas and great New Year for 2013!
